This year the holidays have not had their usual zing. I miss my darling daughter, who as I told you in a past post, is away in China for the school year. It is the first time she has not been with us for the holidays and it has been an adjustment, especially since she is our only child.
I am sure you have also encountered things you have had to adjust to this year especially as you dealt with health issues and concerns. I hope that my posts have given you strategies that have helped you on your journey.
I thank God for you. I pray that 2013 will be a better year for you in every way. May God bless you and strengthen you. LeslieRoseK

I know how you feel Leslie, it’s tough not to have your children or child home for the holidays. I have the six boys but with everyone living everywhere it is rare to have everyone home. This year was no different. I also hate when Lance is deployed over the holidays but don’t like it either when you have a holiday with him and then have to say good-bye because he is deploying again. That is the case this year, Lance and family left to go back up to NY and now he will deploy in about a week to Afghan and it was tough saying good-bye this time. We have gone through many deployments-6 to be exact and it is never easy but this one was really tough for some reason. Please keep him in your prayers and any prayer lists you may have at church. Thanks for all your wonderful posts and for you wonderful friendship! Hoepfuly we can get together one day soon!! Hugs, Brenda

Brenda I cannot imagine how you must feel with Lance heading off again. I pray he will be kept safe throughout his whole deployment and I pray God will give you peace. Yes I am anxious to get together again. There will be much to catch up on. May this year be a blessed year for you in every way.
