Miracle Story

This is a wonderful day, not only to celebrate our love for family and friends, but the love that God has for each one of us, as Christians everywhere, celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Son of God.

It is a true miracle story. He was born of a virgin and protected from Herod’s evil plot to murder Him.  Tucked away, he led an ordinary life for 33 years.  There was nothing ordinary however, about God becoming man, walking among us, waiting to fulfill a plan that was repeatedly prophesied in the Old Testament of the Bible.

Yes, it is a glorious time when we celebrate Jesus’ birth, but for many, the cross looms in the background, silently shouting the real message of Christmas.  Born to die, Jesus would sacrifice Himself on the cross and shed His blood as a payment for the sin of humanity.

Just like the story of His birth, does not end at the manger, neither does the story of the His death, end at the cross. Rising from the dead, Jesus  conquered hell and the grave.  He made a way for us to find forgiveness from the Father and spend eternity with Him, if we would.

In the Garden of Eden, man was given a choice, obey God or go your own way, thus opening the door to sin.  We have the same choice today, allow Him to be Lord and Savior or go our own way.  I have learned over the years that His way is far better and that He  has my best interest in mind.  I have found Him to be a good god in the purest sense of the word.

I pray that if you do not know the babe in the manger, the Christ on the cross, the risen SAVIOR, that you will begin a quest to learn more about Him.  I guarantee, you will not be disappointed.

Merry Christmas and many blessings to you and yours.

Fondly, Leslie Rose K
